Feature requests

I'd like to add some custom links to the menu. Things like links to our help docs or maybe an on boarding video.

As someone who's submitted an idea I want to know roughly how long it might be before it makes it into the product.

Hello! Thanks for building Frill! Our company has many products that we would like to create independent roadmaps, announcements and feedback for. Currently, separation works well with announcements and roadmap in the widget since they can be scoped to a topic. However, submitting ideas/feedback does not have the same level of isolation. The responsibility is on the user to choose the correct topic. It would be ideal if a topic could be pre-selected for them in the submit feedback widget, or if only a subset of topics were shown. Similarly, viewing ideas/feedback cannot be scoped by topic either. It would be ideal if this could also be scoped to a topic. In addition, all scoping breaks down outside of the widget. When viewing the full Frill in the browser, I don't see any way to scope by topic. It would be helpful if we could set query parameters in the URL bar that would translate to what is being shown on the screen e.g. feedback.frill.co/ideas?topic=Product1 etc. Alternative to the above discussion: would the team ever consider letting a company have multiple boards? Thanks so much!

Currently, when you view ideas, and you click on them, each and every topic you click is selected. This works like kind of filter. In my view, this shouldn't be like that, it's very unnatural that by clicking on each topic, it creates a filter and as a result it narrows down your search and results shows Nothing! It should be a single click and perhaps when you hold shift button to make multiple selection. I've had similar feedback from my members, they thought it was a bug.

I would like to customise the feedback question based on the score when creating a survey.

It'll be great if users can subscribe to announcements so that they get automatic email updates on every new announcement. This can increase engagement with the product and bring back lost customers. Example: https://new.loom.com

Some newer ideas are not getting the air time they deserve due to email fatigue. I would like to show my customers a selection of (3) ideas and ask which one is more important to them. Ideas could be chosen randomly, or selected by me. This would be shown inside my app via the widget as a poll.

While I really like how simple the idea submission form is, we want our contributors to be thinking about risk and impact when they make their suggestions. Customizing the form - changing the default text, and/or adding additional fields would be really helpful! I want to be able to ask: what problem are you trying to solve? What is your proposed solution?

Our saas product is translated in 5 languages and we use the Widget to promote our latest features. Problem:Having the widget only in English creates an inconsistent user experience and it is not inclusive for our customers who don't speak English and have their interface in Spanish or French for example. Solution:The goal would be to create an interface to add languages, and the ability to enter the right translation for each set language.

I would like my users to be able to toggle between light and dark mode on my Frill board. Perhaps even a setting that automatically turns to dark mode at night time.This should be an optional setting and seperate to Themes which are decided by Admins.

Could we make it so that anyone with a companies email automatically becomes an admin? As an example, say that you’re the admin of Nike. You can toggle on an option under settings that anyone with a @nike.com email can automatically join the board as an admin. This way it makes it easier to have new team members join your board.

Would be incredibly useful if I could use Frill to gather feedback on feature ideas through Polls. For instance, if I'm considering a certain feature, or want feedback about changing something in the app, I could create a poll and invite users to participate. Since the results will directly feed into ideas / roadmap / announcements, it makes sense that Frill would be a useful host for the poll itself.
