Feature requests

Currently theres only an option to notify whenever there's a status change. I want the ability to notify only when the status is set to shipped but not the other statuses.

Some newer ideas are not getting the air time they deserve due to email fatigue. I would like to show my customers a selection of (3) ideas and ask which one is more important to them. Ideas could be chosen randomly, or selected by me. This would be shown inside my app via the widget as a poll.

Canny and Upvoty both allow these signup options

I would like my users to be able to toggle between light and dark mode on my Frill board. Perhaps even a setting that automatically turns to dark mode at night time.This should be an optional setting and seperate to Themes which are decided by Admins.

What if Frill automatically created Ideas based off conversations from our sales and support teams? It could work like this... Frill connects to places like Intercom, Helpscout, Zenddesk, Discord, Slack etc Once a day, information is collected and sent to a GPT to summarise. Frill then suggests potential new Ideas each morning based on yesterday's discussions. Admins then just hit approve. No need to write them out. Voting could also be automated.

I would like to have a template whenever I want to create a new announcement. I want it to save my headers and formattings and maybe include placeholders for images/text blocks.

An integration with Microsoft Teams would allow us to stay on top of newly added ideas, status changes, votes, and other aspects.

I often wonder if the small number or dot as a notification badge stands out enough for users to prompt them to check the widget. If there was a "bouncy" notification badge that was somewhat annoying (but not annoying!) I wonder if folks would check notifications more often.

I'd love to see a notification badge that is more prominent to make sure it really stands out. In fact - make it stand out so much that folks click on the notifications just to make the badge go away! Options: Badge blinksBadge size is adjustable (to a certain limit!). I'd love to see it be 4 or 5 times largerHave an "announcement" option in surveys, so a quick announcement/update can pop up and guide folks to the sidebar. I was on a video call with a customer the other day and I saw their badge showed 21 new notifications, meaning they had probably never clicked on it.

It'll be great if users can subscribe to announcements so that they get automatic email updates on every new announcement. This can increase engagement with the product and bring back lost customers. Example: https://new.loom.com

I'd like to add some custom links to the menu. Things like links to our help docs or maybe an on boarding video.

As someone who's submitted an idea I want to know roughly how long it might be before it makes it into the product.

While I really like how simple the idea submission form is, we want our contributors to be thinking about risk and impact when they make their suggestions. Customizing the form - changing the default text, and/or adding additional fields would be really helpful! I want to be able to ask: what problem are you trying to solve? What is your proposed solution?

Our saas product is translated in 5 languages and we use the Widget to promote our latest features. Problem:Having the widget only in English creates an inconsistent user experience and it is not inclusive for our customers who don't speak English and have their interface in Spanish or French for example. Solution:The goal would be to create an interface to add languages, and the ability to enter the right translation for each set language.
