Feature requests

Sometimes there is a document (PDF/Word/Spreadsheet) that accompanies or helps to explain the context of a feature request. It would be very useful to be able to attach the document to the ticket rather than just images.

Please add markdown support at all the places, primarily for writing announcements. 🙏

What if Frill automatically created Ideas based off conversations from our sales and support teams? It could work like this... Frill connects to places like Intercom, Helpscout, Zenddesk, Discord, Slack etc Once a day, information is collected and sent to a GPT to summarise. Frill then suggests potential new Ideas each morning based on yesterday's discussions. Admins then just hit approve. No need to write them out. Voting could also be automated.

I would like to be able to use custom fonts, to keep it in tune with our corporate identity.

As a financial services company with strict security and compliance requirements, we need native support for Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). This would allow us to manage user access through Single Sign-On (SSO), enforce MFA, and align Frill with our existing identity governance policies. Integration with Entra ID is essential for streamlining user provisioning, improving security, and making Frill viable for enterprise-wide adoption.

I know there are some other ideas out there that might reference this, but they seemed more primarily focused on custom JS. I don't want custom JS, I believe that belongs with the platform and integrations. But I would really like custom CSS. Frill is very customizable through languages and white labeling, but this would allow it to be perfect. Here is an example. We don't like how the context menu is only visible on hover. User's won't know they have options unless they happen to hover. Custom CSS would allow us to override the visibility setting and show it all the time. Yes this could also be an option in Frill, but it let's Frill find a happy medium between tons of configurations and UI flexibility.

We use Auth0 for all our user's logins (Circle.so, Wordpress, etc...) and would love to add Frill to the mix. Please provide an integration with Auth0 (which has a generous free account) to make this easier for people to implement.

Similar to how ideas can have comments, it would be fun to allow comments in reply to announcements. I'm not actually sure we'd end up wanting this, but we would definitely test it. (One theory is that enthusiastic replies could be a nice form of social proof in our product, e.g. "omg this new feature is really cool!") Bonus points for making it configurable per announcement.

I sometimes get asked in what version a particular update occurred. It would be great to be able to search through announcements by entering text, like we can search for ideas.

We're considering adding an image carousel to announcements to allow you to feature multiple images. Let us know if this sounds like something you would use!

Filter Announcements to only be shown on selected URL’s or groups of URL's, with ability to add wildcards.

I would like to personalise announcements with variables such as first_name or any other attributes I have on my customers.

Presently it seems you can only get all the notifications from people commenting on ideas plus the weekly summary. There needs to be a way just to receive the weekly updated summary and not have to have all the comments on the ideas sent by email.
