Frill MCP Server - AI assistant integration
Build an official MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for Frill so users can interact with their feedback boards directly from AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible clients. What it enables: Capture ideas into Frill from within an AI chat ("Add this as an idea to my product board")Query and summarize existing feedback ("What are the top-voted ideas this month?")Triage, tag, and update ideas conversationallyPull roadmap and changelog data into AI workflowsLet customer-facing teams log feedback from anywhere their AI assistant lives

A time estimate (ETA) for Ideas
As someone who's submitted an idea I want to know roughly how long it might be before it makes it into the product.

Set assignee
Admin can set assignee(s) for ideas. Assignee(s) only visible for members

Add Idea URL to API GET https://api.frill.co/v1/ideas
Comments API Endpoint has a specific URL which one can load to get to the specific comment. The Ideas API Endpoint doesn't provide such an URL. Once an Idea is in "approval_state = rejected" it doesn't show up in the search anymore (which would be another topic altogether). We also use the API to keep track of our Ideas. It would be nice to include those Ideas URL to directly jump into the Idea. Constructing the URL from the Slug might be possible, but our AI Agent does have a bit trouble with the static part.

Expose prioritization scores (impact, effort, RICE) in the API
The Frill web UI has a great prioritization system (RICE, Value vs Effort, weighted scoring, custom frameworks) but none of these scores are available through the public API. Currently the GET /ideas endpoint only returns vote_count. It would be very useful to also include: priority_score (the computed composite score)Individual factor values (reach, impact, confidence, effort, or whichever custom factors are configured)The ability to sort/filter ideas by priority_score Use case: We use the API to pull ideas into our internal tools and dashboards. Without priority scores, we can only sort by votes, which doesn't reflect the team's actual prioritization work done inside Frill. This forces us to manually check the Frill UI instead of having a single automated view.

Expose linked Zendesk ticket IDs in Frill API for ideas
The Frill API to include the list of linked Zendesk ticket IDs (or any linked integration) for each idea, just like the UI shows, so consumers can accurately combine Frill feature-request data with Zendesk ticket data in our internal dashboard.

notification when an idea is merged
I noticed that users do not receive an email notification when an idea they submitted is merged into another idea. From a user perspective, this notification would be important so that the submitter understands what happened to the idea and can follow the merged idea going forward

Editor Needs some improvements
Increase the bottom padding/spacing in the editor to provide a better writing experience. When pasting content into the editor, users should be able to preserve or convert text into headings. "Make Heading" should be available as an option. The heading color should be black instead of grey. The current grey/bold styling does not provide sufficient visual emphasis.

Custom links in menu
I'd like to add some custom links to the menu. Things like links to our help docs or maybe an on boarding video.

Customize Idea Submission Form
While I really like how simple the idea submission form is, we want our contributors to be thinking about risk and impact when they make their suggestions. Customizing the form - changing the default text, and/or adding additional fields would be really helpful! I want to be able to ask: what problem are you trying to solve? What is your proposed solution?

AI Chrome Extension
It would be great if I could copy. helpdesk conversation and have AI summarize the feedback into one succinct Idea or Improvement. Why? This would mean I can collect feedback easily from ANY Helpdesk software, without the need for a custom integration.

Area for custom CSS and JS
I'm more interested in abiliity to add my own Google Tag Manager or chat widget, etc, so the JS box. But also opening up the ability to override CSS would be great.

Automated AI feature suggestions
What if Frill automatically created Ideas based off conversations from our sales and support teams? It could work like this... Frill connects to places like Intercom, Helpscout, Zenddesk, Discord, Slack etc Once a day, information is collected and sent to a GPT to summarise. Frill then suggests potential new Ideas each morning based on yesterday's discussions. Admins then just hit approve. No need to write them out. Voting could also be automated.

Allow team members to automatically join your board
Could we make it so that anyone with a companies email automatically becomes an admin? As an example, say that you’re the admin of Nike. You can toggle on an option under settings that anyone with a @nike.com email can automatically join the board as an admin. This way it makes it easier to have new team members join your board.
